Large-scale Production of CVD Carbon Nanotubes
Abstract
The present project aims at developing a continuous production route for multiwall carbon nanotubes. The method offering the best potential for large scale production is the decomposing hydrocarbon gases over catalytic particles at moderate temperatures. The limiting factors of this procedure are all related to the fact that the catalyst is palced manually in the oven. We aim to replace this manual part of the production by an automatic feeder and transport system and use a rotary tube furnace.
