Nanostructures for Optical Devices and Elements II NODE 2


Abstract

The NODE2 project will continue the investigation and development of nanostructured subwavelength optical elements, concentrating on optical nanostructures with linewidths in the order of or less than 100 nm, and aspect ratios (linewidth / depth) of up to 1:1. It will build upon the results of the NODE1 project, and concentrate on 1) moving key topics of commercial potential identified together with the industry partners towards manufacturable, commercial products, and 2) further development of nanofabrication technology. The key topics identified include subwavelength grating nanostructure polarisers for sensors and displays, anti-reflection nanostructures for the UV and DUV, and nanostructured resonant filters.
