Conformation and Molecular Interaction of Proteins at Nanoscale Patterned Interfaces of Biomaterials and Biosensors
Abstract
Proteins at interfaces play a decisive role in steering a variety of biochemical events. The project addresses the following topics: the conformation of proteins, the role of surfaces and the interaction of protein elements with cell receptors. In combining the latest nano-related technologies the project is expected to have an immediate impact in biomedical applications in providing surface design criteria for materials in medicine and biosensing based on biochemical understanding.
