Nanopatterns explored for Molecular Scale Storage (Akronym SADS, Self Assembled Data Storage)
Abstract
Molecular Self-Assembly of intermixed molecular compounds (C60 and sub- Phtalocyanine ‘sub Pc’) have revealed reproducible ways to make atomically defined patterns and 1-d wires on the nm scale. Other molecular systems shall be intermixed and there self assembly shall be studied. These patterns and wires shall be exploited towards potential technological applications like molecular devices and storage systems.
