Nanocrystalline Flexible Photovoltaic Cells based on Sensitized Heterojunctions
Abstract
The goal of the proposed project is to examine the feasability of producing a solid state, thin film, ultra-light, flexible solar cells based on the sensitization of nanocrystaline oxide semiconductor films. The target for the conversion efficiency is to reach 1.5 –2 % during the feasability study. The flexible cell will be realized through deposition of the key nanocrystalline oxide on a thin metallic foil or a transparent conducting plastic sheet. The junction is completed by infiltrating the mesoporous network with a hole conductor.
