Numerical Modeling of Nanoscale Organic Optoelectronic Devices


Abstract

The project aims at extending the NM SESES (SEmiconductor SEnsor and actuator Simulation) tool for nanoscale organic electronic and optoelectronic devices based on experimental validation by combinatorial device fabrication. The simulation tool will help to explore and gain a deeper understanding of the complex electronic processes and allow to optimize organic light-emitting diodes, field-effect transistors and future nanoscale devices with respect to their electrical and optical characteristics. Moreover, the simulation tool can strongly influence the emerging nano-technology by predicting the characteristics of nanoscale devices.
