Foundation of a Nanoplatform of the Universities of Applied Sciences Switzerland
Abstract
The aim of this starting project is to lay a foundation for a nanoplatform for the universities of applied sciences of Switzerland with the goal to spread the knowledge of the nanotechnics at the universities of applied sciences. This nanoplatform should become a guideline and a pool for practical and theoretical courses in nanotechnics for the students of the universities of applied sciences, whereby each partner of the nanoplatform contributes its specific knowledge to the nanoplatform correspondingly. In addition to this education task it schould get a gate for the industry for aR&D and other services. Contacts to the universities, ETH and other research institutes such as EMPA, PSI, CSEM etc. should be cultivated. Through the education of the students in nanosciences these young poeple get aware of nanosize applications which they involve to the industry later on. The nanoplatform is in addition the basis for the know how transfer of the nanosciences between universities of applied sciences and the Swiss industry. This schould give an impact to the industry and lead to long term activities in nanotechnics.
