SPM-based nanoscale patterning SNAP

Abstract

SNAP is an enabling technology for low-cost, table-top nanofabrication without the need for expensive cleanroom equipment. To create patterned surfaces with defined geometry and functionality on the nanometer up to the micrometer scale (e.g. for nano-devices, diagnostic tests), SNAP combines, in the same medium, operator-controlled nanometer-scale lithography with thermodynamically driven self-targeting and attachment of molecular structures or particles.
