Basics concept for the OEM-suppliers of nanotechnologies (products and services)
Abstract
Products or services in the field of nanotechnology are usually the result of a co-operation of different partners from science, R&D and manufacturing, because of their highly innovative character and the their technological complexity. One enterprise, especially start up’s or SME’s (small to medium size enterprises), usually cannot provide all the resources necessary for a complete product cycle from R&D to global marketing. Especially technology-driven firms often seem to lack the expertise in marketing. This problem can be resolved e.g. with OEM partnerships (original equipment manufacturer) or licensing agreements.
Within this project the key factors of success for an OEM and or licensing partnerships shall be evaluated and verified several practical cases.
