Nanotechnologies between opportunities and risks

Nanotechnologies have something mysterious, they overstrain human perception and imagination. Today, numerous applications of nanotechnologies can be found in various areas of life. Opportunities seem unlimited, but questions about possible risks still remain unanswered in many cases.

TEMAS offers approaches to answering these questions. Since 1999 we have been engaged in the different disciplines of nanotechnologies, since 2003 we have been working with growing intensity on the topic of nanosafety, nationally and internationally.

We have focused our knowledge and experience, and pooled them in service modules for the target groups
enterprises
public authorities.

For enterprises, our services deliver answers to specific issues along the value chain.

For public authorities, we elaborate concepts for activities and programmes regarding opportunities and risks of nanotechnologies, spanning from pre-normative work to international cooperation for future regulations. Situationally, we deliver support for implementations and impact analyses on a national or international basis.
